Villagers Surviving with only one Kidney to get Money Easily

Communities of one village in West Java went to donor their kidneys as they think they could get a lot of money from it.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Criminal Investigation Agency from the Indonesian Police department recently discovered a shocking incident in a village in Bandung where the most of the people residing in the area survive with only one kidney as many reportedly sold the other one for money.

Alleged kidney trader’s attorney Osner Sianipar shares how the incident occurred in the very first place and how it has become a ‘trend’ in that specific village in West Java.

According to him, it all started with one of the villager’s suspicion over two of other villagers’ sudden wealth.

“Villagers were confused as to how the two managed to get a lot of money at a relatively short period of time,” Osner told Liputan6.com, Thursday (28/1/2016).

The two have been identified as kidney donors and they immediately gained Rp 80-90 million just by selling each of their organs. The two seem fine and healthy hitherto even with only one kidney to live with and therefore such creates a widespread assurance to others that living with one kidney is acceptable and one would remain a healthy figure.

The idea of remaining healthy even with one kidney makes everyone else in the village willing to donor their kidney to get money in return. That is why many resort to this method easy money to get cash in hand easily.

“Villagers were heavily interested by the idea of getting money easily just by selling their kidney and still surviving with only one” Osner further explained.

Since many are willing to donor their kidney, the two felt that it would be profitable to make good use of theie kidneys by selling it and gain money from it. The two then decided to become the intermediary agents that supposedly ‘help’ villagers donor their kidneys to the people who actually seek for it.

“They will be honored with Rp 5-10 million in return for one donor,” Osner shared.

Osner continued sharing how the two managed to persuade 7-11 villagers to become their intermediary for kidney donor.

Chief of Human Trafficking division from Police Criminal Investigation Agency Arie Dharmanto claimed to have previously been faced with similar finding in one village whose residence survive with only one kidney.

“Suspect reported that but we are now trying to investigate over the case first before reaching to any conclusion,” Arie said.
