Donald Trump 'Shutdown of Muslims': Business Lost to John Cena

The consequences of his negative statement against Muslim cost to his business, Presidential candidacy and his image in entertainment world.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - US Presidential Candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump is now plagued with controversy following his reportedly provocative and belligerent remarks calling for "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States".

According to Vice, the Republican candidate has 'seemingly little regard of the ramifications' as to what he stated and that his pejoratively viewed comment 'is beginning to cost him business opportunities in the Middle East'.

"In light of the recent statements made by the presidential candidate in the US media, we have suspended sale of all products from the Trump Home décor range," CEO of Landmark group, a Dubai-based holding company that operates the regional retail chain Lifestyle, Sachin Mundhwa said as cited in Vice news.

WWE superstar John Cena also went to express his aggravation towards Donald Trump on 'Today Show' that was aired live to the U.S nationwide audience.

"He is bold, he is brash, this is bold, and this is brash. I’m with you, I don’t know how it works out. The last time we did anything like this was in World War II, and that was one of the more reprehensible acts by the United States of America. ‘We are the melting pot, except for you.’ That does not go along with our DNA. Trump is being trumped, there’s no other way to say it," he stated as has been shared in unilad.co.uk.

The ramification of what he has 'stereotypically' stated against Muslim does not only cost him his business and image in the entertainment world but also the status of his Presidential candidacy.

"The fact is what Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him from serving as president," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said in Tuesday's press briefing as cited in CNN.

The U.S Ambassador to Indonesia Robert O Blake Jr. has also previously stated during Foreign Policy Community Indonesia (FPCI) public forum on ‘Evolving Multilateral Coalition against ISIS’ at Borobudur hotel Jakarta on December 8, 2015 that he disagrees with what Donald Trump said.

"President Obama has made it clear that blocking Muslims from entering our nations including Syrian refugees are offensive and contrary to American values."
