Government Economic Policy Sought for Price Reduction on Solar

The price of solar fuel has been reduced by Rp 200 for both the subsidised and the non subsidised one.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The Indonesian government has formally declared the national economic policies package volume III on Wednesday 7 October 2015. One of the policies included in the package discusess price reduction on solar fuel.

Indonesian Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Darmin Nasution claims that the government sought to continuously address issues relating to bussiness and working permits in the country.

The government has decided to reduce the price of solar for both the subsidized and the non subsidized one by Rp 200 per litre.

"Solar fuel price drops down by Rp 200 per litre so the total price would be Rp 6.700 for the subsidized one," Darmin explained.

The Government however, decided to keep the premium fuel price at the current rate.

Price volatility on fuel continues to be debated among government officials as they aim to appease the general population who has been dissastified with continous uncertainty. (Akp/Rie)
