Japan 100 bottles of 'Magic Potion' to Douse Indonesian Wildfires

Japan is determined to help Indonesia in putting out the wildfires which have caused for haze all across the Southeast Asian region.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta The choking haze caused by wildfires in Indonesia's Sumatera and Kalimantan islands is felt everywhere else in Southeast Asian region. Exacerbation and expansion of such haze is inevitable thus the government sought to quickly put out the fire before the issue becomes even more regional with pejorative diplomatic repercussion that will likely follow.

Countries all across Asia have shown willingness to help Indonesian government extinguish the fire. Indonesian President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo previously refused to accept any foreign technical aid but realized that the fire was too much to handle and thus opening doors for foreign contributors.

Apart from Malaysia and Singapore, Japan has also extended its hand to help Indonesia sort out its haze issue which was caused by the illegal slash and burn of forest and land within the big islands of the archipelago state. Waterbombing method has been used by Indonesian counterparts to put out the fire.

Japan offered something different from other orthodox method of extuingishing the fire. Their technical aid is in a form of liquid called 'miracle foam a+'. The object was symbolically given by the Ambassador of Japan to Indonesia Yasuaki Tanazaki to the Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister, AM Fachir.

Ambassador Yasuaki claims that Japan is very happy to have been given the opportunity to come to Indonesia's aid during this hardship. He shares how the relationship betweeb the two countries have always been a strong one especially with the historical bond that makes the current bilateral tie a tight one.

"On behalf of the Japanese government, we would like to formally inform Indonesia that we are ready to help whenever the country is in need," he said at the Indonesian Foreign Ministry Office earlier today, (16/10/2015)

"We have bestowed Indonesia with 100 bottles of special ingredient to extinguish the fire," he continued.

The 'magic potions' are due to land in Palembang tommorow for it to be effectively used in the highly affected area.(Akp/Ein)
