Liputan6.com, Jakarta - In a land far, far away from Indonesia, there is a country situated in the Northern part of Europe housing predominantly Germanic ethnicities and Danish Vikings called Denmark. The Danish royal family is the oldest uninterrupted European Monarchy hitherto with Queen Margrethe II now in power.

The country has so blatantly presented its fascination towards arts and is always determined to spur creativity of individuals residing in the country. The products of its creative population include country of origin of building toys Lego and many other equally fascinating products of creative minds in varying aspects.

Creative industry in Indonesia, is actually as fascinating as the ones in Denmark but receives very little exposure from the general population and therefore largely undermined. This means that it would be desirable for Indonesia to establish mutually beneficial exchanges with Denmark in this particular aspect where the largely neglected Indonesian culture can gain significance in the international world.

Denmark is also an important role model for Indonesia as it has been considered as the world’s most democratic, least corrupted country, with highest employment rate reaching 75% and presents the lowest income inequality in the world. The desirable characteristics of Denmark ought to be good examples for Indonesia to follow.

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark will be visiting Indonesia in the third week of October this year. The Queen rarely makes courtesy call abroad and this year she decides to surprise the archipelago nation with her imminent honored presence. She will be visiting cities including Jakarta, Surabaya and Yogyakarta.

“This would be her first state visit to Indonesia and it will surely become the highlight of our relationship. This is also a form of recognition of Indonesia’s importance and her visitation here is not for working purposes or dictated by any sorts of obligation. She sincerely looks forward to come here," The Ambassador of Denmark to Indonesia, Casper Klynge said during a special interview held with Liputan6.com in 'The Ambassador' program.
