Australia Seeks Continuing Trade Exchanges with RI under Turnbull

Australia is also desiring for deepened relation with Indonesia particularly focused on the service sector.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta- Mr. Malcolm Turnbull accession to Prime Ministerial position marks a new political journey in the realm of Australian politics. After challenging former PM Tony Abbot and won a vote of 54-44, Mr. Turnbull successfully attained the status of new Australian Prime Minister.

Many people question his position in terms of Australia's stance towards Indonesia and how the change of Prime Minister might have an impact on that particular bilateral relation.

Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Paul Grigson highlights the fact that, "We're very excited in Australia an there has been a lot of interest in Indonesia too," Mr. Grigson informed during special interview held with Liputan6.com 'The Ambassador' program on Thursday 17 September 2015.

"I think it is important to understand that, at the very upper hand if Australian society in politics and business everybody understands the importance of Indonesia, I am sure our new Prime Minister would be keen to build a strong relationship with Indonesia," he continued informing.

Mr. Grigson assured the very notion that, under the new Prime Minister's governance, Australia is till very keen to continue to build on the economic partnership's that have been established in both countries.

Australia is said to have been desiring the continuance of mutually beneficial economic exchanges particularly focused on traded goods such as cattle.
