President Jokowi Bound for Middle East

President Jokowi is making yet another state visitation to three countries in Middle East to discuss oil, gas, defence and many others.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Indonesian President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo is scheduled to make yet another state visits to three countries in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Arab Emirates from the 11th through to the 15th September 2015.

Indonesian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Arrmanatha Nasir said that the state visitations include meetings to discuss a number of important agenda.

“President Jokowi’s 5 days state visits include to countries in the Middle Eastern areas which starts from the 11 to 15 September 2015”, Arrmanatha Nasir said, Jakarta, Friday (11/9/2015).

“The purpose of such visitation includes the tightening of economic relations with these countries, enhancement of industrial strategic partnership with each of these nations and discussion on protection upon Indonesian nationals residing, studying or permanently living in these countries. Additionally, they will also talk about cooperation on energy resources utilization in Indonesia,” he added.

According to Arrmanatha, these countries currently hold importance for any country in the whole world and thus Indonesia’s relationship with them ought to be intensified for the betterment of relations in the future to come.

“In total the GDP of those three countries combines is US$ 1,6 Trillion,” he continued.

Apart from that, 24% of oil reserve and 18% of gas reserve are dominated by them. This clearly shows their supreme power in many crucial aspects. (Akp/Ein)
