Jokowi to Propose Selected KPK Candidates to Parlemen Tommorow

Liputan6.com, Jakarta President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has just received 8 names of the candidates who have applied for Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairmanship positions from the selection committee.

These 8 candidates have gone through a series of test which has been set it by the committee in the first place to assure that each candidate’s potentiality is not merely justified through their writing or proof of career highlights in the past, but also comprehensive examination upon their capability relevancy to the role they have applied for.

“From all the stages of selection process which include, registration, administration, essay on relevant study case, profile assessment, interview and the physical test of the 8 candidates of KPK Chairmanship position for 2015- 2019 have all been given to me. They were tested and selected in accordance to their integrity, competence, leadership, independency and past credible experience on corruption eradication,” President Jokowi said, Tuesday (1/9/2015).

President Jokowi said that the 8 selected candidates will be divided into four groupings: corruption prevention division, execution division, management and supervising- coordinating and Monitoring division. Their names and roles are as follow:

Corruption Prevention Division:

1. Saut Situmorang, Indonesian Intelligence Agency Chief of Staff.
2. Surya Chandra, Trade Union Trade Center Director.

Operation Execution Division:

1. Alexander Marwata, Ad Hoc Judge.
2. Basaria Pandjaitan, Police General.

Managerial Division:

1. Agus Raharjo, former Head of National Public Procurement Agency.
2. Sudjanarko, Managing Director of cooperative networking among commission instances within KPK.

Supervising, Coordinating and Monitoring Division:

1. Johan Budi Santosa Prabowo, Acting KPK Chairman.
2. Laode Mohammad Sarif, Hasanuddin University Rector.

“I will have these names enclosed in a letter and send it to the House of Representatives by tomorrow,” President Jokowi concluded. (Akp/Ein)
