Thailand Instigates 'War Room' as Catalyst to Find Bangkok Bomber

Thailand Defence Minister believes that the perpetrators want to target its economy and tourism.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta The deadly blast in Thailand on the evening of 17 August 2015 immediately calls for contending arguments as to the motive behind the catastrophic form of terror.

The fact that the explosives were detonated in the heart of Bangkok busy district and placed specifically in front of a Hindu Shrine surely spur growing speculation about how religion and anti-capitalist movement present itself as one among many relevant impetus that led to the tragedy.

Religion has been viewed to be a relevant explanation for the attack as the bomb exploded in front of a Hindu shrine, dislike of capitalism has also earned sufficient spotlight as the attack was done in an area symbolizing the country's economic engine and the common place for worldwide tourist to go to.

As many as 8 tourists from China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia are reported to have died from the blast.

Thailand Defence Minister, Prawit Wongsuwan informed Reuters News Agency that the perpetrators behind the attack, 'intended to destroy the economy and tourism, because incident occured in the heart of the tourism district.'

"It was a TNT bomb... the people who did it targeted foreigners and to damage tourism and the economy," Thailand Minister further informed, as cited in Reuters.

The fact that a TNT type of bomb was used to establish fear instantaneously confirms growing speculation of the terror being carefully planned and specifically designed to carry a message to Thailand's government.

According to developing information by Al Jazeera, Thailand's government sought for the establishment of a "war room" functioning as a catalyst to hunt down Bangkok bombers. (Akp/Ein)
