Indonesia Continues Sending Troops to Help UN Restore World Peace

Jokowi said that Indonesian foreign policies are designed in accordance to its UUD 1945 with its characterization 'free and active'.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Today (14/8/2015), a large scale meeting involving statesmen of both Regional Government and House of Representatives (DPD-DPR) is done inside DPR building situated in Senayan, Jakarta. In his speech, Indonesian president Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo stated that his government will continue to uphold its principles, in regards to its foreign policies. Such consistency is done in accordance to the Indonesian Act of UUD 1945.

"As has been stated in our UUD 1945, 'free and active' is our main principality dictating our foreign policies. This suggests that Indonesia manage policies in this particular aspect in the most emancipated and independent ways that it does not want any burden caused by decision to establish alliance with others," President Jokowi said.

President Jokowi said that Indonesia will actively contribute into the creation and restoration of world peace by deploying its troops to help The United Nations achieving such ambition.

"Indonesia will continue the deployment of troops to participate in The UN venture to restore peace and have these men sent to many areas across the world," he continued.

"Indonesia will continue to give contribution into the stabilization and security, for the regional and global areas as well as attaining leadership in the areas within Indian Ocean. This is because we envision our country to be the leader of Indian Ocean Rim Association from 2015 through to 2017," he concluded. (Akp/Tnt)
