Female Purse Used by Chinese Drug Supplier to Outsmart RI Police

Liputan6.com, Jakarta North Jakarta specialized elicit drugs unit from the police force in the area is again successful in revealing and capturing an international scale syndicate of drugs network. This time, they have discovered 12 kg of crystal meth with its worth reaching Rp 18 billion packed inside women’s bags or purses.

These drugs were sent from Guangzhou, China before the police located the packages inside a warehouse in Pluit, North Jakarta.

The finding also led to the capture of a 36 year old drug dealer originating from Nigeria, Jhon Ladiord Okori along with a female courier who also professes as a commercial sex worker.

The dealers and suppliers of these discovered packages of crystal meth have resorted to many methods and various expedition services in trying to outsmart the Indonesian customs and authority.

They even went as far as soaking these purses along with oil inside a container.

“They purposely set everything up by packing these meths inside purses that were being sent by sea. It was initially untraceable because it was embedded under oil inside a container,: Head of North Jakarta Police Officer, Susetio Cahyadi informed, Monday (27/7/2015).

The mission began as soon as reports received on Tuesday 7 July 2015 suggested that there were drugs in large amount being sent travelled by sea from China and directed to specific area in Northern Jakarta, Pluit.

Officers on duty immediately performed monitoring and following operation on these suspects and finally successful in capturing the people involved along with the drugs. (Akp/Rie)
