President Jokowi to Meet With UK PM and Chinese Parliament

President Jokowi is packed with tight schedule including a series of meetings with UK and China's delegations.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo is scheduled to meet with two honored guests from two countries, China and The United Kingdom today at the Presidential Palace situated at Central Jakarta.

The two honored guests are, the Head of Chinese Parliament, Zhang Dejiang and UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron.

According to the diplomatic schedule yielded by the Presidential Palace Bureau of Press to Liputan6.com, President Jokowi will be meeting with a group of people from the National Peoples Congress (NPC) from The People’s Republic of China which will be led by Zhang Dejiang.

The meeting is expected to commence at approximately 14.00 pm and will be attended by all Ministers from the working cabinet.

The meeting held between President Jokowi and Chinese Parliament is a follow- up visitation following President Jokowi’s visitation to China on March 27 2015. They have previously met in the Reception Room Great Hall in Beijing, China.

The next agenda starts approximately at 17.00 pm where President Jokowi is scheduled to greet delegation group from The United Kingdom and North Ireland which will be led by the UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron.

Private meeting (tête-à-tête) between President Jokowi and David Cameron will be hled first prior to the grand meeting with the whole delegations.

In the meeting, President Jokowi will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the governments of both The United kingdom and North Ireland.

‎The Ambassador of The United kingdom to Indonesia, Moazzam Malik informs how Prime Minister David Cameron’s visitation to Indonesia is his second trip and this time, they will be meeting and cover topics such as financial issue, energy sector, infrastructure and technology.

“He will be meeting President Joko Widodo and the Indonesian government. Indonesia is one of UK’s strategic partner apart from China in this 21st century, thus it explains why Indonesia has been included in the list of destinations within Asian region,” Ambassador Moazzam Malik shared during a press conference held on Sunday 26 July 2015.
