Ngurah Rai Airport Reopens, Time to Redeem 160 Cancelled Flights

Mount Raung eruption has caused for the airport in Bali to be closed down.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Ngurah Rai International airport in Bali finally opens after being closed down temporarily due to the impact of mount Raung eruption in East Java which has started since July 9 2015.

Both domestic and international flights can finally operate like other normal days.

The General Manager of PT. Angkasa Pura I of Ngurah Rai international airport, Trikora Harjo has formally announced information telling that the airport is now operating again with its opening hour at 10 this morning.

"At 10.00 am, Ngurah Rai airport has started operating again after being closed down yesterday," Trikora announced, Saturday (11/7/2015).

According Trikora, PT. Angkasa Pura I is now coordinating with airlines, aviation navigation, and other involving institution to start their administrative agenda like normal days.

These include collecting data of potential passengers, check-in, baggage in each terminal in both domestic and international gates.

Despite the fact that the airport has reopened, some of the flights that have been postponed the other day will not be allowed to fly altogether today.

"Up until now, there has not been any flying activity as it needs to be re- adjusted first to the system," he explained.

Ngurah Rai airport has been closed from 9- 11 July 2015 with as many as 160 flights cancelled as the repercussion to that. (Akp/Ein)
