Sutiyoso to Earn Head of National Intelligence Position Today

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Former Jakarta Governor, Sutiyoso has been appointed to fill in the Head of Indonesian Inteligence Agency (BIN) position and will be inaugurated this Wednesday (8/7/2015) afternoon.

The man who is colloquially known as 'Bang Yos' admitted that he is fully prepared to carry out the task given to him as the successor of Marciano Norman.

"I am ready. This is I suppose the last phase, the inauguration. For the legitimate document confirming my newly- acclaimed status, it will be formally distributed to me tomorrow," Sutiyoso informed at the Presidential Palace.

He further informed how his health is the one thing that he has been focusing on as carrying out duty as risky as being the Head of the national intelligence entails rationality and high mobility.

"I have to prioritize the notion of being physically healthy at this point," he added. 

After being inaugurated, Sutiyoso is scheduled to visit BIN's Headquarter located in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta where he will have to introduce himself to the rest of BIN staff and familiarize himself with the environment in which he will spend the rest of his working life.

"I will get myself acquainted with the staff ir the people I work with. I want to know a bit further about BIN itself as an organization, internally and also the instruments we currently equipped with," he continued. 

President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo went to suggest Sutiyoso’s name as the Head of BIN to the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) and such suggestion was approved. (Akp/Ein)
