Indonesian Squadron II Pilot Fired Following Drug-Dealing Reports

Agung Hari Panili started his way as a user within 5 years time became the distributors of drugs.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Indonesian Air Force personnel was reportedly fired from his duty by the commanding officer following a quite disturbing information suggesting the personnel's involvement in large-scale drugs distribution within the country.

Agung Hari Panili was taken down from his post this morning, 29 June 2015 at Halim Perdanakusuma airbase, East Jakarta.

Drug-dealing is an activity that is not just illegal in the perspective of nationwide audience but also a violation of the code of ethics in the eyes of governmental institution. 

It is alarming and unfortunate to detect drugs- related activity within the governmental body especially if it involves one in the authority whose duty is to assure security of the people and nations from all kinds of dangers both direct and indirectly such as drugs.

Halim Perdanakusuma airbase Commanding Officer, Umar Sugeng Haryono led the dismissal ceremony of Agung Hari Panili with the agenda includes the taking off of his badge and uniform.

Officer Sugeng said that such dismissal ceremony was don in accordance to the thoroughly deliberated decisions with its fundamentals relying heavily upon the legal and military acts of Indonesian laws.

"Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff (TNI AU) issued a decree suggesting the dismissal of this one personnel who has crossed the boundary of ethical code. We made it such a huge occasion because we want everyone to learn from his mistake and for him to know that the consequences include embarrassment," Officer Sugeng informed. 

Officer Sugeng continued explaining as he revealed Agung's career timeline. According to him, Agung has been a member of Squadron II and reportedly enslaved by the drugs and its business for 5 years. 

He started as a user and as the year progressed he played a bigger role as the dealer or distributor of crystal meth. (Akp/Ein)
