Police Arrests 'Inside Man' Helping Drugs Operation Inside Prison

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Many people continuously wonder why a number of drug convicts in Indonesia are still capable of operating its drugs distribution inside the prison with its tight security. 

As time progresses, the truth begins to reveal itself suggesting the involvement of prisoners warden in such business.

On Thursday 21 May 2015, investigating officers from the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) successfully captured and detained a warden in one of the correctional institution in Bandung, West Java who allegedly played a role in the drugs smuggling case into the prison. 

The suspect was immediately arrested following police discovery of his location at that time.

"Yes a warden has been arrested following reports of his involvement in the smuggling process of ecstasy and crystal meth into the prison," Public Relation Officer from BNN, Slamet pribadi told Liputan6.com, Friday (22/5/2015). 

Slamet also went to inform that further investigation has not yet taken place as the suspect is just freshly captured last night.

BNN immediately confirms the involvement of a warden as soon as they realize that drugs distribution in controlled from inside the prison.

BNN is in distraught knowing that the security of a prison is apparently far from strict.

They also realize however, that the amount of prisoners is far greater than the amount of wardens safeguarding it. 

This means that one cannot fully blame the wardens for not being able to guarantee the absence of any wrongdoings inside the prison as they cannot monitor every prison at one time. (Akp/Ein)
