Mother of Four Participates in National Test

Liputan6.com, Jakarta A mother of 4 children, Rika Rahmawati left the nation staggered with her courageous ambition to involve herself in this year's Indonesian National Test (UN).

Despite her age, she still possesses the ambition to carry out the test that she once unable to perform. 

She seems to be more confident than embarrassed with her decision as many would have view such ambition as outdated especially with her age and status as a mother of 4. 

Rika went to undergo the National Test (UN) at Patrakomala elementary school, Bandung, West Java. 

Should her test performed successfully with desirable result, Rika will receive academic package A.

Such package allows her to receive a diploma which will be beneficial for her future especially if she wants to pursue a job or career.

As shown on Liputan 6 Siang SCTV this afternoon (19/5/2015), Rika is placed in a room different to the other students in trying to avoid her children crying which will bother other UN participants concentration.

She is not the only adult who courageously decided to participate in the UN.

In Garut, West Java as many as 17 adults including 2 elderly people also went to perform such test in order to obtain elementary school diploma/ certificate. 

The certificate will be used to complete administration requirement if they want to work or be employed for a specific work field.

"Once I attended a public school but didn’t have the opportunity to obtain any certificate confirming my completion because it was hard to get one during the colonial era," UN Participant, Yudi Kusnadi shared. (Akp/Ein)
