The 60th AAC Covers Additional 'Special' Agenda

Vice President Jusuf Kalla explains that there is a special additional agenda that will be discussed throughout the 60th AAC.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The 60th Asia-Africa Conference (AAC) Commemoration both in Jakarta and Bandung which will be held today through to the 24th of April 2015, will be a lot different than the previously held conferences. Vice President Jusuf Kalla explains how the difference lies on the fact, that there is a 'special' additional agenda that will be discussed throughout the event.

"The Asia-Africa we held at 2005 was just a ceremony whereas this year's conference, we will cover a broad range of topic concerning recommendations of peace," Vice President Jusuf Kalla said at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Saturday (18/4/2015).

The recommendations of peace will not centred around Palestine and the Middle East, but will be greatly extended to global issues.

"Discussion on Palestine has been done since 40 years ago, now it is time for its realization. Now the issues have escalated in numbers, so we are planning to discuss the possibility of reconciliation among conflicting countries," he added.

Vice President jusuf Kalla is currently preoccupied with the monitoring process of all AAC preparations including the welcoming session of recently arrived foreign delegations. He is accompanied by the National Secretary, Pratikno, Minister of Tourism, Arief Yahya, and the Head of AAC Managing Committee, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

The 60th Asia-Africa Conference Commemoration will be held in Jakarta from the 19 to 23 of April and in Bandung on the 24 of April 2015.

The events primary agenda covering issues such as 'Asia-Africa Business Summit' and 'Asia- Africa Carnival'.

The event is themed with mounting need for furtherance of mutually-beneficial cooperation between Asia and Africa countries as well as the urgency to improve citizens of Asia and African nations welfare.

Peace is also a subject of great significance that will be discussed in detailed.

As many as 109 leaders from various nations and 25 international organizations have been invited to the event. (Akp/Tnt)
