Security Forces Secure Airport Following AAC Delegates Arrival

Liputan6.com, Jakarta The 60^th Asia- Africa Conference Commemoration is only a day away. Security forces have been deployed to secure the perimeter and assure the effectiveness of safeguarding mission on foreign delegations from various countries. Soekarno Hatta International airport is currently packed with security forces as many delegations, including the VVIP ones arrived today.

As many as 2.220 joint security forces are dispatch to the location where the aircraft carrying delegations land.

“Security measures around the airport will be divided into three rings,” Soekarno Hatta airport Head of Police Force, Patopoi informed, Saturday (18/4/2015).

For the first ring, Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) personnel are assigned to secure the airbase and the runway of the aircraft.

“As for ring number 2 and 3 are areas such as the terminal and the routes that are taken by the delegations to get to the specified destination.

These will be safely guarded by police force, Military District Command (Kodim) and Aviation Security officers,” Patopoi explained. Presidential Guards (Paspampres) are assigned to guard in VIP room in terminal 1. This VIP room will be the first place the foreign delegations enter after coming out of the airplane.

“A security post is present in terminal one where you can see joint forces such as police force, TNI, Avsec and Paspampres,” he continued.

The 60^th Asia- Africa Conference Commemoration will be held in Jakarta from the 19 to 23 of April and in Bandung on the 24 of April 2015.

The events primary agenda covering issues such as ‘Asia- Africa Business Summit’ and ‘Asia- Africa Carnival’.

The event is themed with mounting need for furtherance of mutually- beneficial cooperation between Asia and Africa countries as well as the urgency to improve citizens of Asia and African nations welfare.
