RI Narcotics Agency Exposes Names of 10 Escaped Prisoners

BNN investigates how and why their escape plan was successful, despite the evidently strict security personnel safeguarding the perimeter.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - As many as 10 prisoners have managed to escape from the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) detention building early this morning (31/3/2015). 

Those convicts were imprisoned shortly after they were captured possessing crystal meth.

BNN public Relation Officer, Slamet Pribadi informed how the 5 escaped prisoners were initially captured at Aceh on 15 February 2015 as they were carrying 77,3 kg worth of crystal meth. The five of them originating from East Aceh.

Their names are Abdullah (35), Samsul Bahri (42), Hamdani Razali (36), Hasan Basri (35) and Usman (42).

The other 5 prisoners are syndicates from the large-scale drugs network in Tanah Abang and Karawang.Their names are Apip Apriansyah from Depok (33), Muhammad Hussein from Karawang (42), Erick Yustin from bogor (39), Harry Radiawana from Bekasi (47) and Franky Gozali from Makassar (34).

The prisoners deliberately damaged the wall for them to get through and they plan to escape from the back of the building as to avoid invigilating securities acknowledgement of their carefully planned strategy to escape.

"They went to damage the wall and escape through the back of the building. I am currently checking those who did the night parole," Slamet explained.

Slamet admitted that he cannot yet give further information regarding the situation as the institution is currently preoccupied with collecting relevant data and evidence which may be helpful for the investigation process on the recently missing 10 prisoners who have managed to escape earlier this morning.

"We will try to provide more information as to how and why their escape plan was successful despite the evidently strict security personnel safeguarding the perimeter," Slamet concluded.

This event has alarmed the nation of the possibility for those criminals to find a way to escape from the correctional institution.

It also suggests that there are still imprisoned criminals who, instead of repenting, planning to escape and perform other criminal activities. (Akp/Tnt)
