Commander Moeldoko to Lead Military Training in Poso

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) will be holding a special training for its personnel at Poso, Central Sulawesi on the 30 through to 31 do March 2015.

The training will be led by TNI Commander Moeldoko.

The training is done in response to the recent news informing that the area has been considered as the breeding ground for terrorist from radical group in Indonesia.

Moeldoko informed, the training's vision and mission is to prevent Islamis State of Iraq and Syria's alumni from entering Indonesia and brainwashing others to join them in the militant group at Poso.

"I know that Poso is a crucial zone that needs to be sterilized so that is why I need to train my men there," Commander Moeldoko informed at TNI Headquarter, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Monday (30/3/2015).

"I am firm on my decision to abolish any leftovers or new comers that are ISIS members. I don't want them to spread here or anywhere else in Indonesia. I am worried about Indonesian citizens currently in Syria and Iraq. I am worried that they will come back and brainwash others with ISIS teaching," Commander Moeldoko continued. 

Apart from that, the radical group led by Santoso is also the target of these trained soldiers. Commander Moeldoko instructed his men to capture the group should they find them soon.

Moeldoko will also instruct his men to counter- attack should the terrorist group yields non- cooperative response.

"If they refuse to cooperate and fight us, we will not hesitate to resort to violence using heavy weaponry," Moeldoko concluded. (Akp/Tnt)
