Vice President Jusuf Kalla Shares How Death is Part of Warfare

One Indonesian is reported dead during the Syrian battle. His death adds to the already existing 9 Indonesian died during warfare in Syria.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Many Indonesians are now in Syria, helping the radical group, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to fight the Syrian soldiers.

One Indonesian man is reported to have been shot during the catastrophic warfare. Ridwan Abdul Hayyie died in the battlefield as he was battling against the Syiah Nushairiyah soldiers under the leadership of Bashar Asad.

He is not the first man who has been reported dead by the local authorities. 9 Indonesians have previously bit the dust due to similar cases.

Ridwan was shot by Syrian tank at the city of Idlib (the borderline between Syria and Turkey) on Thursday 26 March 2015.

Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla views the death of Ridwan as a consequence of his participation in the warfare.

It does not matter whether he helped the ISIS group or the opposition, when a man decided to involve himself into a fight, then it is ultimately his consequences to feel the pain or to lose his live.

"Well that is the consequence he gets from joining. The risk to be bombarded with bullets," Vice President Jusuf Kalla said at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta on Friday 27 March 2015.

The former chairman of Golkar Party remains unsure about the number of Indonesians currently participating in the Syrian war zone.

From the information gathered, hundreds of Indonesians reported to have been involved in the war.

"I am not sure about the exact number. All I received from the report shows that at least 200 or 300 of our people are there fighting not for their country but for other countries," Vice President Jusuf Kalla explained. (Akp/Riz)
