Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok is visited by 20 students from Dharma Bangsa kindergarten.

The 20 children expressed their interest about the Governor’s dreams of what he wants to become when he grew up as a child.

The children were accompanied by their teachers and each and every one of them questioned Governor Ahok's dream as a child.

Governor Ahok greeted them with warm welcome and answered simple questions such as bad motor-cyclers who park wherever they want, to dreams and goals of his when he was little.

"I wanted to be a conglomerate, with the money I have, I want to help the less- fortunate people. The less- fortunate usually come to the factory, and there was a time when my factory was closed down. My father told me it is better off for to me to be a statesmen because I can help people by being so," Governor Ahok answered the children's question at City Hall, Jakarta, Thursday (26/3/2015).

The children were very well- mannered as they listened to the Governor’s stories.

Governor Ahok continued explaining how initially he wanted to pursue his dream to be a conglomerate but soon that dream faded.

When he saw Indonesia and its catastrophic reality, he wanted to make a change and wanted to be a president.

"My dream now is to be the Indonesian president. A president should be able to fight corruption. So now my dream has changed from wanting to be conglomerate to be the President who fights against corruption," he continued.

Governor Ahok also took time to explain the importance for the subsequent generations to be great leaders who are willing to sacrifice for the well- being and welfare of his/her people instead of prioritizing for their own parochial interest.

"You would be willing to even sacrifice your lives so others can live.We should not accept any bribery offer, we should not be afraid of anyone, we should be afraid to those who are willing to fight for the truth and for those who apply transparency into their principles," Governor Ahok concluded.
