Head of MPR RI Demands Less Exposures on ISIS Stories

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The Head of Indonesia's People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Zulkifli Hasan criticizes the widespread news regarding many Indonesians involvement in the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) organisation.

He personally requests for media to prevent the exaggeration of the story as it will encourage others to do the same instead of raising their awareness to avoid it.

"Do not continuously present news about ISIS and Indonesian people involvement as it will inspire others to join. Those who didn’t have it in his mind would have the reason to join because of the news widespread " Zulkifli said at MPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (26/3/2015). 

Despite the fact that he wants for the stories to be lessened in quantity and exposure, he demanded for the involving authority to continue the search of the potential members of ISIS and capture them.

"Should there be anyone found participating in the group, then they will be captured. Do not promote them, just capture and leave it to the authority," he continued.

Zulkifli assured the society that ISIS is not Islam and therefore the group has to be abolished before its rampant widespread begin to alter people’s perspective.

"We are all brothers and sisters, we have to fight it together. 

Just don't promote it, curious people would have the interest to join the group and follow their teachings, that is very dangerous," he concluded. (Akp/Tnt)
