Governor Ahok Gets 'Free' Auditors to Help Monitor APBD DKI

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok has just recently been challenged by the presence of a 'fantastic budget' in the regional budget for Jakarta House of Representatives (DPRD DKI). The questionable ‘additional’ budget has caused him a conflict with a number of individuals from the DPRD DKI. In trying to vocalize the truth, Governor Ahok has been aided by an IT expert from Singapore, Ainun Najib. Ainun created a site called kawalapbd.org which consistently monitor the budgeting process of R-APBD DKI.

That site vividly portrays and describes the discrepancy found on the e-budgeting budget proposed by the DPRD of Jakarta.

The result also shows that there is a budget of Rp 10 trillion which is incompatible with the executive budget. Thus, Ahok speculates there are at least Rp 12,1 trillion ‘fantastic’ budget that is questionable.

Governor Ahok expressed his contentment as he knows he receives help not just from an IT expert in Singapore but also many other individuals who voluntarily want to help Ahok by becoming his auditors for the budget monitoring. He particularly stresses the importance of including transparency in the e-budgeting process and he is exceptionally happy to know that not just people from Jakarta but also nationwide audience are willing to help him reveal the truth by continually monitoring the budget for DPRD DKI.

"Ainun has initiated the endeavour to unravel the truth, I really appreciate it and now it is easier for me and for the society in general to monitor the budgeting from the website. That means I have man free auditors who will help me reveal who is right and wrong and make this city and this country less corrupt and more honest because any kind of misdemeanour or faulty are all see-through from the society's eyes," Ahok said at the city Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday (18/03/2015). 

Governor Ahok hopes that the people would sooner or later realize that there are discrepancies found in the budget for APBD DKI which has previously been proposed by the DPRD DKI. He thinks it is time for Indonesia to know the workings of the government so the system is better improved as statesmen will be more careful in serving his duty.

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or commonly known as Ahok reported the alleged misuse of the regional budget on 27th of February 2015 to the Commission. He Believes that the misuse of the budget costs the nation as much as Rp 12.1 trillion year call now.

Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or colloquially known as Ahok confirmed the alleged misuse of the regional budget, as proposed by the Regional People’s House of Representatives (DPRD) on the 27th of February 2015. Ahok has reported this case and is now entangled in the conflict with the individuals from DPRD.

He thinks the Rp 2 Trillion 'extra' budget in the regional budgeting plan is absurd and therefore leading to the notion of it being corruption money.
