Duo Bali Nine Lawyers Refused to Give Comments

The execution of the Bali Nine duo is imminent, the exact timing however, remains undecided.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta The representative from the Australian consulate to Indonesia along with the lawyers of 2 alleged Bali Nine ringleaders, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran did not leave a single comment shortly after their visitation to the correctional institution at Nusakambangan, Cilacap, Central Java.

The Australian Consulate representative, Majel Hind and the lawyer of the Bali Nine duo Julian McMahon came from the Dermaga Wijaya Pura and went to find their car as soon as they came out without giving any comment to the media.

They also refused to give a comment earlier on Friday afternoon as they went into the correctional institution to meet with the Bali Nine duo. From the observation of Liputan6.com on Friday (06/03/2015), both the representative and lawyer seen to have left the premise at around 15.30 pm local time. They were guarded by 2 bodyguards and 1 staff.

As soon as they walked out of the correctional institution, they were bombarded by questions coming from various local and international media. Despite the outpouring questions, they remained silent and rushed into the car.

The Indonesia Attorney General will be performing the execution of the inmates from the second batch at the Nusakambangan island, Cilacap, Central Java. However, the exact timing for the execution remains undecided.

There are speculations as to the procedure of the execution. It has been notified that out of the 11 inmates that will be executed, 8 of them will be executed first in the second session of the execution process.

Apart from Raheem Agbaja Salami from Cordova, the other inmates such as the Bali Nine duo originating from Australia, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, Serge Arezki Atlaui from France, Rodrigo Gularte from Brazil and Zainal Abidin from Indonesia have also been transferred to the correctional institution at Cilacap.

The other three inmates are also there and placed in the batu correctional institution inside the Nusakambangan prison. They are Sylvester Obiekwe Nwolise from Nigeria, Martin Anderson from Ghana and Okwudili Oyatanze also from Nigeria.

The last who has not been transferred is Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso from Philippines. (Akp/Ein)
