Liputan6.com, Jakarta - President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has officially appointed three leading figures to be the momentary leaders or Chairmen of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). They are Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo, Taufiqurrachman Ruki and Indriyanto Seno Aji. They will now hold the responsibility as the heads of KPK until further assurance.

The inauguration of these three in men into KPK position has been done this morning (20/02/2015) at approximately 08.00 am local time. At the Presidential Palace, these three neatly suited men announced their oath to serve the country.

Shortly after taking oath, the President signed the document confirming their position as the Chairmen of KPK for the time being. The President then shook the hands of these newly appointed leaders.

The underlying reason as to why three individuals have been chosen to fill in the KPK leaders slots is because the previous leaders have been non-activated, due to the recent tumult between the institution and the Indonesian Police (Polri).

The previous leaders, Abraham Samad and Bambang Widjojanto, have to descend from their posts in preventing the deterioration of the conflict which for the past few weeks has dominated the national media headline and has generated some nationwide outcry.

Moreover, with Abraham Samad named as a suspect for forgery-case, the deactivation of the individual from the post is deemed necessary.

The inauguration of these three men as the temporary Chairmen or leaders of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will be included in the Acts which will soon be released by the President. (Akp/Tnt)
