He has successfully portrayed to the University his utmost competence as he furthers his career as a successful businessman and entrepreneur and a generous man in his humanitarian endeavours through various charities. On November 14, 2014, he paid a visit to the UNSW to receive this outstanding award titled Honoris Causa.

A good friend of Mr Eddy, Former Australian Prime Minister Paul John Keating was also present at the Alumni Ceremonial Award.
